An AICG member, Jerome Locson (BSCS), and other CSIT students represented Ateneo de Zamboanga University in the Mindanao-wide IT Quizbowl Tournament. They won grand champion defeating other schools from Mindanao.

Students from the Computer Science department participated the acquaintance party which aimed to create camaraderie among students. They enjoyed the games and presentation that were prepared. The officers were also inducted during the event.

The CSITech Show is an ICT-related and electronic-generated competition that showcases the academic and creative skills of ADZU students. During the multimedia challenge best digital art, music videos and photography were screened among entries that were submitted by ADZU students.

President Cedrick Zabala, was sent to Manila to attend an International Multimedia and Design Conference. Afterwhich, he echoed his learnings to the students.

During the information challenge, six qualifying teams competed against each other in a quiz bowl format, only that the teams will answer the questions as groups in the following fields: biology, algebra, physics, basic calculus, basic programming and information technology trends.

The junior students of the CS department had an outing which aimed to establish camaraderie among batch mates. It also served as R and R (Rest and Relaxation).

The projects of CS students like research papers, artworks, and posters were exhibited during the CSIT week.

Chosen AICG members joined the high school campaigns to promote not only the CS department but also the College of Science and Information Technology.

AICG rendered assistance at the booth of the CSIT where they also exhibited their projects like research papers, artworks, and posters.

AICG was assigned to organize some sports like Chess, Badminton, Table Tennis, etc. All contests were also organized by the club which gave CSIT the award for Over-all Champion for Contests.

AICG was assigned to provide photos and videos for www.ateneofiesta.com. They also made the Atfest Logo, Tarpaulin, Shirt design, and Motion graphics.

AICG produced the motion graphics for the Ethnic dance competition during the Closing program of the Ateneo Fiesta.

The seminar trained students to develop webpages / websites by using Photoshop and Dreamweaver. They learned how to publish their works in the internet and create communities in the web. Mr. Ryann Elumba served as the resource speaker.

The junior students under BS MIS and BS CS participated the exam which is used to evaluate the knowledge and skills of an IT personnel (engineer) on the fundamentals of I.T.

AICG organized a party which aimed to celebrate Christmas. It also served as a welcome party for students who just shifted to the CS department during the second semester.

The seminar provided students information in using Cascading Style Sheets for webpages. They learned different techniques to implement CSS in their websites. Mr. Ryann Elumba served as the resource speaker.

The seminar aims to provide students an in depth understanding on creating a successful blog. Students learned to manipulate blogs and create posts. Mr. Ryann Elumba served as the resource speaker.

The 2-day workshop provided basic information in filmmaking. Students developed the skills in screen writing, storyboarding, frame composition and directing. Mr. Gutierrez Mangansakan, a Davao-based and award winning filmmaker, served as the resource speaker.

AICG renders support of this year’s Job Fair, organized by the Guidance Office, by producing the commercial that will be shown on February 19 and 20, 2008.

AICG is part of the committee who will produce the institutional ad for the next school year. The video will be used by the admissions office during school campaigns.
